After their critically acclaimed Chip Jockey in December or their remix for Missill released on Citizen records beginning of February, Tambour Battant strikes back with an EP that's got the best of both world: UK bass and French Touch, house and nu break, somewhere between Jack Beats and Mr Oizo.

A-Side's On the Ground has been termed “a 2010 version of Mr Oizo's legendary « flat beat »”, with its typical wahwah bass line, combined with an electric house beat and excited vocal samples to hype the crowd. This track simply never stops going, taking only a short breathe on the breakdown. A perfect club banger.

On the flip Handz up starts with huge snaps and aerial electro lead synths that set the mood for another Tambour Battant banger. Their signature: staccato synths and clipped vocals, keep putting the pressure till the end.

Tambour Battant est en pleine ascension ! Depuis leur surprenant Chip Jockey sorti en Décembre, les dates affluent et ils ne cessent de convaincre lors de leurs prestations live, véritables performances hybrides entre concert rock et set club.

Le duo s’adonne également avec succès au remix, pour Missill et le titre ‘‘Chuppa’’ sorti sur le label Citizen notamment. Ils enfoncent aujourd’hui le clou avec « On The Ground », nouvel E.P. à mi chemin entre UK bass et Electro, House et Nu Break, quelque part entre Jack Beats et Mr Oizo…

Déjà playlisté par Dj Zinc, Far Too Loud, Elite Force, Mike McKenna,… et salué par DJ mag, Tillate, EQ ou IDJ pour n’en citer que quelques uns.
